Is traditional therapy not quite fitting your needs?
Or maybe you are just starting out on your healing journey and are hoping to build some momentum early on.
You don’t have the time to devote to weekly therapy sessions
Maybe you’re a busy business owner or do a lot of traveling for your work. Traditional weekly therapy sessions just aren’t realistic for your schedule.
You’re seeking deeper, more concentrated healing
You feel ready for deep inner healing work and just want to dive in and maximize your investment. You’re excited about what an accelerated pace could look like, and are willing to put in the time.
You’re in the right place.
Intensives can help you accomplish in a few hours or days what may take months in traditional therapy.
What is an intensive?
Intensive therapy is an accelerated form of therapy where we fit months of therapeutic work into a few hours or days. Instead of meeting for weekly appointments, we spend a few hours over 1 to 3 days doing deep therapy work that is intentionally focused to best help you move toward your goals.
Depending on your location and needs, I can either offer a tele-health intensive, or an in-person intensive if you’re able to travel to Orlando, FL.
An intensive can be exactly what you want and need it to be. Perhaps you’d like to consider it a time to prioritize your healing and wellness — some clients find that getting away, planning other wellness activities around it, or staying in a hotel during the intensive helps it feel focused and intentional.
If none of the packages below fit your preferences, I’d love to collaborate to create a custom therapy intensive tailored to you. Contact me to get started!
1
Pre-Intensive Assessment
We’ll start with identifying your goals and hopes for the intensive, as well as assess where you’re at and what skills will be helpful to build in order to maximize your progress. We’ll build a custom, collaborative treatment plan so that we are spending your time exactly as you want and need.
2
Intensive
Session
We’ll review your goals and treatment plan, and dive in. I’ll guide you every step of the way, as well as ensure that you’re staying in your window of tolerance, and receiving grounding and attuning as needed. We’ll go at your pace, with opportunities to use your agency and maintain your autonomy.
3
Post-Intensive Follow-Up
This time is our chance to reflect on the intensive, what we accomplished, and how you’re feeling about it. We’ll identify shifts that have occurred and take the time to savor the deep work that you accomplished! We’ll also assess your overall progress and discuss options moving forward.

Imagine finally getting to…
Experience deep shifts in your progress.
Intensives allow us to focus on the deep work in a short time, which means the ability to get some momentum and experience noticeable shifts reasonably quickly.
Feel equipped to move through your life each day.
Since we’re doing a lot of work in a short time, I’m also working to ensure you have the skills to manage and regulate through the ups and downs as we go. These skills are hugely helpful in life beyond the counseling office.
Be who you want to be in life and relationships.
Experiencing deep connection and healing, such as can happen during intensives, can profoundly impact your confidence that doing the work matters, and makes a difference, as well as knowing you’re not alone through it.
Discover the goodness in you.

EMDR is an evidence-based approach to trauma therapy, but can be used to address many other issues as well. In session, we will use bilateral stimulation (which is just eye-movement or tapping back and forth) to stimulate the right and left hemispheres of your brain as we focus on a distressing memory, body sensation, fear, or negative thought. Clients who do EMDR typically find that they’re able to experience more peace and less reactivity surrounding specific triggers. Read more here.

The biggest difference is the accelerated pace! Each time you go to a weekly 50-minute therapy session, you probably spend 5-10 minutes checking in at the start, and about 5-10 minutes at the end to close. This means that you may only get about 30 minutes of deep work done each time. In a 9-hour intensive, for example, we can do about 7.5 hours of deep work - which is equivalent to about 3 months of traditional therapy!

Intensives can help with a wide variety of issues clients may struggle with, including trauma, anxiety, depression, abuse, relationship problems, family conflict, emotional dysregulation, addictive patterns, spiritual problems, and more. When we do our pre-intensive session, we’ll discuss goals, needs, areas of focus, as well as your customized treatment plan, including any prep that may be helpful for you to do ahead of time.
Sometimes I’ll suggest that a client focus on some things before sessions, such as noticing somatic symptoms.
Most of the time, we’ll discuss basic things that are helpful for all intensives—for example getting good sleep, hydrating, and showing up to the intensive as comfortable and safe as possible. I like to recommend bringing a warm drink and a soft blanket!
